Clery Act Safety Programs Notification
According to federal law, specifically the Clery Act, the university must report the type, frequency, and audience (students and/or employees) of programs related to the following:
- Crime prevention
- Security awareness
- Substance abuse education
- Fire safety education and training
- Programs to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking:
- Primary prevention programming
- Awareness programming
- On-going prevention and awareness campaigns
- Bystander intervention
- Risk reduction
If anyone in your department provided programs that are related to the above topics, it is important that you forward the information to the OCRTIX no later than January 30 each year. Provide a short description of the programming type and the number of programs given during the prior calendar year.
