Biography

As Director of External Affairs, Kajsa will lead in promoting the visibility of OCRTIX initiatives by helping to highlight campus-wide accomplishments and progress on key campus initiatives such as the RISE strategic plan, and the office's role in facilitating Jayhawks Rising, our university’s strategic plan. 

Kajsa has worked at KU since 2017. She started at KU’s Center for Public Partnership and Research (CPPR) as an Assistant Researcher, developing the UX design of DigitalBadg.es, a Digital Badging Platform. She assisted in initiating partnerships with education administrators and in the early stages of UX research and dissemination efforts. 

In 2018, Kajsa joined the Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP) team as an Assistant Researcher and was promoted to Project Coordinator in 2020. Kajsa conducted the UX design efforts for I-Connect, a behavior self-monitoring app, and led the charge for innovative research dissemination efforts for multiple projects at JGCP. Kajsa participated in KU’s Mentoring Circles for Disability Inclusion and Unpacking Whiteness in the Workplace. During this time, she also earned a master’s degree in educational technology at the University of Kansas.  

Kajsa earned a bachelor’s degree in communication, a minor in ethnic and gender studies, and a minor in leadership from Emporia State University. She studied Arabic language, culture, and society for a year at Moulay Ismail University in Morocco. During her time at ESU, Kajsa worked with international students as a Community Service Coordinator and founded a partnership program to bridge the communication gap between international students and members of sororities and fraternities on campus.
