Alleged Sexual Assault  

 

Content Warning: This Timely Warning includes descriptions of sexual assault, including rape. 

Yesterday at 3:45 PM, the University of Kansas Police Department received a report of an alleged rape that occurred sometime between 2:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in the 1500 Block of West 18th Street. 

The reporting party explained they met the alleged suspect at a bar near campus. They later went to the reporting party’s residence, where the reporting party stated they blacked out. They woke up the next morning with the alleged suspect still in their residence and believed they had been possibly raped. The reporting party stated the alleged suspect waited for a ride and then left sometime that afternoon.  

The alleged suspect is unknown. The reporting party described the alleged suspect as a Black male, approximately 6ft tall, with black hair and brown eyes. University police are investigating.
