Biography —
Karen joined the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX as an Investigator in 2021, investigating reported violations of KU’s harassment and discrimination policies. Prior to her time at the University of Kansas, Karen worked as an Attorney for the Jackson County Juvenile Officer in Kansas City, prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases, and as a Juvenile Attorney for Legal Services of Southern Missouri in Springfield, where she represented parents with children in the foster care system.
During law school, Karen served as a Law Clerk for Kansas Legal Services, and the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky.
