Impact & Belonging - KUMC Training

Fostering Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, & Belonging Training

This optional training is essential for promoting health equity, cultivating healthy communities, and improving the lives of Kansans. It focuses on building a shared language for engaging in conversations around bias, racism, and other forms of discrimination. We hope this training will spur meaningful, safe, brave, and necessary conversations that create the type of campus culture that cultivates an environment of respect and belonging where everyone feels valued.

A group of 20 individuals from across our campuses, with different roles, perspectives and personal experiences, lead our Fostering Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging trainings on a rolling basis. Continuing education (CE) credits may be offered; attendance requirements are enforced according to KU Medical Center Continuing Education & Professional Development standards.
