Biography

Tyler Hall (he/him) grew up in Tampa, Florida and attended the University of South Florida where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology. He spent his time working with different student organizations including the P.R.I.D.E. Alliance for which he earned the Outstanding Student Leader award from the Office of Multicultural Affairs. After graduation, he moved to Orlando and completed Equality Florida’s TransAction Leadership Academy. He worked at the University of Central Florida’s Counseling and Psychological Services where he learned to understand emotional empathy especially in higher education. Tyler also earned his master’s degree in Public Administration at UCF.

Since moving to Lawrence in 2022, Tyler has volunteered with multiple local and national nonprofit organizations created various community events. He is a co-lead for the Gaysians affinity group for queer Asian students through the Student Engagement Center at KU.
