Heather Shire

Prior to accepting her current position with KU, Heather worked as a physical therapist for over two decades. Though she enjoyed direct patient care and was proud of the impact she had on patients’ lives, she felt a desire to grow personally and professionally in a different direction. Heather switched careers and worked as a Medical Investigator for five years, investigating allegations of misconduct and/or standard of care violations involving health care professionals. This was followed by a short time working as a Credentialing & Compliance Manager with a not-for-profit healthcare entity, which also included doing some investigatory work.
