Fernanda Lopez

Fernanda attended Kansas State University as a first-generation college student where she earned her bachelor’s degree. While attending K-State she was a part of the Multicultural Academic Program for Success and the Pilots Program, both opportunities allowed her to work with other first-generation students and learn more about working directly with a diverse group of people.

Fernanda started her professional journey in higher education in 2019, since then she has been able to grow and explore other sides of higher education. Since joining KU, she has been able to focus on providing programming and educational opportunities surrounding marginalized communities.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time reading a book and spending time with her dogs at home.
