Biography

Alane joined the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX as a Case Manager in 2023. Prior to her time at the University of Kansas, Alane completed her LSCSW in 2023 and started a successful private practice in Lawrence, Kansas, working with teens and adults.

Alane worked for the Washoe County Department of Social Services as a permanency worker in Reno, Nevada, for six years and has worked in victim services since 2013 in many capacities (e.g., volunteer, program assistant, victim advocate) and spent time with the Mobile Outreach Safety Team in Reno, where a social worker and police officer respond to mental health calls. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and two master’s degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno. Alane was also a part of the Kansas Women’s Rowing Team during her time at KU.
